Everything you need to know about accounts, credits, AI generation, exports, and your data.
- Do I need an account to use it?
- No — you can open and use every tool page without signing in. You only need a free account for AI features (which are rate-limited and use credits), to save work to your library, and to download or export files. Signing in also lets your work follow you across devices.
- Is it free? How do credits work?
- The tools are free to use, and signed-in users get a daily allowance of AI credits at no cost. If you need more, you can buy credit packs. Purchased credits expire 180 days after your last successful purchase, and some AI actions consume credits while local (non-AI) tools do not. See Pricing for current details.
- Which AI powers palette generation?
- AI features (palette-from-prompt, palette modification, smart naming, and moodboard concepts) are powered by Google’s Gemini models. AI features require a verified email. Note that the AI generates colors, palettes, and text — it does not generate images.
- What happens to images I upload?
- Images you upload for color extraction are stored in a private storage bucket scoped to your account, and are deleted when you remove the item or delete your account. They are never public unless you explicitly share them. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on how uploads are handled.
- What formats can I export to?
- Palettes, gradients, and scales export to developer and design formats including CSS variables, Tailwind config, SCSS, JSON, design tokens, and Adobe ASE swatches, plus image formats such as PNG, SVG, and PDF for sharing. Exports require a free account.
- Can it check color accessibility?
- Yes. The accessibility tools report both WCAG 2 and APCA contrast between colors, flag failing pairs, and can simulate how your palette looks to people with different types of color-vision deficiency (colorblindness).
- Does it support print or spot colors?
- For print workflows, the color tools surface the nearest spot-color-friendly HEX value so you have a starting reference to hand to your printer or match against a physical swatch book. We show HEX values only — not proprietary spot-color names, codes, or branding.
- How do I delete my account or data?
- Go to Account → Settings and use the Delete Account action. This removes your stored palettes, uploaded images, and authentication record. See the Privacy Policy for what may be retained for billing or fraud-prevention compliance.
